Carlo Jans & François Glorieux
At the special request of flutist, professor and conductor Carlo Jans, François Glorieux composed "Interludes" for flute and strings created by the Latvian Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra (Riga) conducted by the composer.
The composition includes 8 very contrasting pieces: "Incantation" with oriental influences, the impressionism of "Arabesque", the sadness in "Depression", the description of a camel in the sahara in "El Jmel", the Argentinian colour of the "Tango Loco", the romance in "A time for love", the Brazilian bossa nova mood in "I love you" and the virtuosity of "Badinage".
