Nick Ost & François Glorieux
At the age of 18 the euphoniumplayer Nick Ost went to François Glorieux' chamber music class at the Royal Conservatory of Ghent.
Nick asked the composer to enrich the repertoire of his favourite instrument and François started to write many works for euphonium in different instrumental combinations: duos with trombone, piano, trios with piano and violin, tuba quartets and principally with strings and later on with symphony orchestra.
Most of Glorieux' compositions for euphonium have been recorded with Nick as soloists on two cd's: "Euphonic moods" and "Explorations".
